DMI (Dynamic Movement Intevention

DMI is a hands-on approach that promotes motor development and functional movement. It uses specific, guided exercises to activate the body’s natural postural responses, helping children build strength, coordination, and balance. By strengthening these foundational skills, DMI supports greater independence, confidence, and overall functional ability.

Gait Training

Utilizes specialized equipment such as gait trainers, the LiteGait treadmill system, walking ladder, and/or treadmill training to break down the gait sequence and target specific alignment and movement patterns. This approach helps improve functional control, coordination, and independence with walking.

Electric Stimulation

We use TASES, NISE, and functional electrical stimulation (FES) to activate targeted muscles, improve strength, and enhance motor learning—customized to match your child’s needs. Electrical stimulation also helps improve functional alignment, motor control, and muscle fiber recruitment to influence timing, coordination, and the force of muscle contraction when paired with functional exercise.

Functional OT & PT

Therapy that uses a variety of techniques and specialized equipment to build strength, balance, and coordination while targeting functional skills. Sessions focus on meaningful activities of daily living, environmental access, transfers, developmental motor skills, and other functional movements—helping children gain confidence, independence, and the ability to participate fully in daily life.
